This pursuit of competence and reliability is rooted in the founding of AQUATO® Umwelttechnologien GmbH. From the beginning, our mission has been to develop environmentally friendly wastewater treatment plant systems. Through innovative technologies and excellent service, we have been contributing to the improvement of water quality ever since. 2007
Founding of AQUATO® by Eckhard G. Bischoff
The founding of AQUATO® Umwelttechnologien GmbH marked the beginning of a success story for a company that today ranks among the leading providers of wastewater treatment plants and wastewater engineering.
2007
Acquisition of the Oetjengerdes concrete factory in Zetel
In the same year of founding, the acquisition of the traditional Oetjengerdes concrete factory in Zetel laid the foundation for in-house concrete production and expanded the product range.
2012
Approval of the first fully aerated STABI-KOM plant
The introduction of the STABI-KOM using the proprietary Sequential Sludge Stabilisation SSB® process represented a technological breakthrough that remains a core product to this day.
2012
Acquisition of Huber DEWATEC (formerly Uponor/ENVICON)
Through the integration of Huber DEWATEC, expertise in wastewater treatment and wastewater engineering was significantly strengthened and market presence further expanded.
2014
Move to the new company building in Herford
The relocation to the modern company building at Ernstmeierstraße 24 marked an important step for further growth and the centralisation of corporate structures.
2015
Approval of the fluidized bed plant 3K-FLOW
With 3K-FLOW, another innovative process was successfully approved, sustainably complementing AQUATO®'s technology portfolio.
2019
Acquisition of the Menk concrete factory
With locations in Landsberg and Monheim, the Menk concrete factory was integrated into the company network, significantly strengthening production capacity in concrete construction.
2023
Acquisition of the Lauterbach Kießling concrete factory in Seybothenreuth
The integration of the plant in Seybothenreuth successfully expanded presence in southern Germany.
2024
Acquisition of the BBW concrete factory in Weißensee
Through the acquisition of the BBW concrete factory in Weißensee, the network of production sites in the Thuringia region was further consolidated.
