How Does the STABI-KOM Work?

The AQUATO® STABI-KOM uses the patented SSB® process. This system, developed in-house, is a single-stage activated sludge plant with integrated sludge stabilization. The processes are time-separated (intermittent operation) and follow a regular cycle controlled by the system.

Aeration Phase: In the first chamber, the coarse wastewater is pre-clarified. Simultaneously, air is introduced so that the natural treatment processes to begin.

Settling Phase: The activated sludge settles to the bottom of the chamber, forming a clear water supernatant in the upper zone.

Discharge Phase: The treated water (the clear water supernatant) is discharged. Subsequently, the excess sludge is returned to the first chamber, and the SSB® cycle restarts.

Only aerobically stabilized sludge is produced, significantly reducing disposal requirements. This results in considerable cost savings for you.

FAQs

You have questions? We have answers!

The SSB® process (Sequential Stabilizing Activated Sludge process) is an innovative method developed in-house. It treats wastewater aerobically and stabilizes the sludge in a single stage. Its unique feature is the time-separated, intermittent three-phase operation, which ensures efficient treatment with minimal sludge removal and eliminates odor nuisance.

A major benefit of the AQUATO® STABI-KOM is the significantly lower sludge disposal frequency. Since the system only produces aerobically stabilized sludge and a sludge balance is established with adequate tank volume, disposal can be virtually eliminated for years. This results in significant cost savings for you.

Yes, the AQUATO® STABI-KOM is highly versatile. It can be easily installed in existing concrete or plastic tanks as a retrofit kit. The tank shape – whether round or square – is irrelevant.
